This 6-tool combo kit shoudl provide a nice basic setup for remodelers and home repair specialists. You find some trade-off on top-end performance, but you get a much better price without sacrificing too much.

For Milwaukee, we turn to their brushed tools that get you onto the M18 platform and let you upgrade later as you see fit. When it comes to value, we’re looking for the most bang for your buck. There’s a slight drop in weight as well, sitting right at 2.0 pounds with a 2.0Ah battery. Its size difference isn’t as dramatic, but it’s still compact at 5 inches long. It also gains some speed and now has a max of 3600 RPM. It picks up 15% more torque, jumping up to 1500 in-lbs. Shifting over to the Milwaukee 3453 impact driver, it’s a similar story. It also has a slight weight reduction a comes in at 2.6 pounds with a 2.0Ah battery. That’s a 14% increase in power, yet the drill drops 0.8 inches off the length down to 5.9 inches.
The Milwaukee 3404 hammer drill now has 400 in-lbs of torque to go with 1550 RPM on the top end. Now in its 3rd generation, both tools target an increase in power while dropping size.
